Job Title: Per Diem Infusion Nurse
Job Summary
LZ Cares Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Per Diem Infusion Nurse to provide infusion therapy services in infusion clinics, suites, or doctor’s offices. This as-needed role offers flexibility and competitive pay, ideal for nurses who thrive in clinical settings. The nurse will deliver high-quality care, collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer IV medications like IVIG, Biologics (inflectra, remicade, soliris), fluids as prescribed
- Monitor patients during infusions, assessing for adverse reactions and providing immediate intervention.
- Manage infusion equipment and supplies, ensuring proper maintenance and sanitation.
- Educate patients on infusion therapy, potential side effects, and post-infusion care.
- Document all patient care activities accurately in accordance with LZ Cares Healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff in clinical settings.
- Adhere to LZ Cares Healthcare policies, procedures, and Texas state regulations.
- Work effectively as part of a healthcare team, adapting to facility-specific protocols.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using infusion pumps and related equipment.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in infusion therapy or a related clinical setting.
- Certification in infusion therapy (e.g., Certified Registered Nurse Infusion, CRNI) preferred but not required.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of infusion therapy protocols and best practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration in a clinical environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.
- Proof of professional liability insurance coverage required.
Pay Rate and Employment Type
- Pay Rate: $55/hour to $65/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Mileage reimbursement at state rate.
- Employment Type: 1099 contractor position.
